After 3 weeks of continuous rain (unusual for Bulgaria at this time of year) we are seeing the colours of Geshaview starting to explode on to the scene...

New look Geshaview website and blog
The Geshaview village web site (and this blog) have been up-dated to reflect that we are now getting ready to position Geshaview for the future – as a holiday destination!
The first thing you will notice about the new web site is that the focus is no longer on selling property.
Of course, there are still houses and apartments for sale at Geshaview, but the future of the village is in it becoming a holiday destination.
This re-design is very much looking to the future. many of you will be aware that some of the proposed facilities are not available at the moment (this will be fully explained to anyone who enquires about a holiday at Geshaview) but we anticipate that throughout 2011 the village will begin to come alive with visitors.
The next issue of our newsletter will contain a detailed overview of how the website functions, but why not have a look at the new Geshaview website yourself?

Summer arrives at Geshaview
Early morning is the time to see the Geshaview village in Bulgaria at its best.
The heat of the sun has yet to burn the dew off the grass, a slight mist still hangs in the air and the only sound to be heard is the birds' dawn chorus.
The trees are now almost in full leaf and provide cool, dappled shade in which to absorb the surroundings.
There really is a feeling of being 'embraced by nature'.

Look! No tarmac!!
Work has started on putting the top surface onto the pathways around the village, and not an inch of tarmac in sight!
As the construction of this phase of the village nears completion we can start to put the finishing touches to the landscaping and pedestrian access.
In keeping with the 'car free and eco-friendly' policy of the village the paths are being made with natural materials that are compacted to produce a stable and even surface for walking on.

Owners visit their property in Geshaview
Colin, Pam and Steve with Yana at Geshaview.
Geshaview property owners Colin Perry and Pam & Steve Foster visited their house in the village recently and we are pleased to be able to quote a few of their comments.
Pam and Steve wrote to say:
"Just returned last night from a wonderful trip to Geshaview WOW what a change..."
"...It's much better in real life."
"It looks a magical place, and when everything is finally finished, it will be a place of outstanding beauty."
"Both Steve and myself were stunned with our property..."
"It's a great credit to everyone in Geshaview..."
Colin's comments were:
"May I say that the house, although not quite completed, was superb, from the outside to the inside upstairs and down was great."
"...the entire development is outstanding..."
"I am so, so happy with my purchase..."
We will reproduce their letters in more detail in the next issue of the Geshaview newsletter.
We are very satisfied that the uncompromising attention to detail and superb Bulgarian craftsmanship is being recognised by all who visit the village.
As the village awakens from a very harsh winter we would encourage any owner or prospective purchaser to hop on a plane to Bulgaria and visit the village to see for themselves!

Ready and waiting.. at your convenience!
David Hollands and Julian Georgiev enjoying the
final checking of the biological 'live bacteria' installation.
Located away from the village near to the forest area the new and innovative non-chemical underground sewerage plant has broken new ground in Bulgaria for the use of a truly organic system.
The compact, biological ‘live bacteria’ system has a capacity to process the sewerage from over 500 people.
Connected to the village system at the lowest topological point this gravity controlled biological, non-chemical system will process the waste, then, before it is dispersed, all the water can then be passed through an ultraviolet filtration system and then back into the natural river water system.
Maybe it is a bit unusual to be proud of the sewer from your house… but in this instance I believe we have good reason to be.
